The programmes aim to bring about social, political, environmental, or economic change by engaging with stakeholders, including the public, government officials, and institutions. SAGDA will collaborate with individuals, organizations, or coalitions to influence public policy, laws, and decision-making processes on issues that affect graduates.

An internship programme is a structured and supervised work experience offered to recent graduates. It provides practical experience in a particular field or industry, allowing interns to apply their academic knowledge in real-world settings. SAGDA recruits and place graduates within Companies, NGOs, CBOs and SMMEs for a period of 12 to 24 months. The graduates operate under the supervisor for mentoring and coaching while SAGDA provides work readiness training, support, monitoring and payment of stipends on monthly basis. i.

The community development programme aims to empower individuals and groups within a community to improve their social, economic, and environmental well-being. The programme Include graduate placements, training workshops, capacity-building sessions, community meetings, and collaborative projects. SAGDA utilises this programme to involve graduates to implement Mandela Day, 67 minutes contribution to Schools, Early Childhood Centres, Old Age Homes and impoverished communities.

Alumni can participate in mentorship programmes, either as mentors to current graduates or as mentees seeking guidance from more experienced graduates.

Alumni programs may involve graduates in community service projects, fundraising events, and initiatives that can benefit SAGDA and the broader community.

Work Integrated Learning (WIL), the programme integrates academic learning with practical work experience. SAGDA recruit students from TVET Colleges and Universities of Technologies and place them within Companies for a period of 6 to 18 months. The students operate under the supervisor for mentoring and coaching while SAGDA provides work readiness training, support, monitoring and payment of stipends on monthly basis. The WIL programme allows students to apply theoretical knowledge in real-world settings, enhancing their skills and employability. This is an academic requirement to enable students to obtain their degrees and diplomas.
