SAGDA - Statistics

Since January 2011, SAGDA has placed a number graduates from universities, public and private FET colleges at various private and public companies. The placements were facilitated through internships, permanent and temporary jobs, entrepreneurship support and learnerships.

Our work has been supported by member companies, partners and sponsors who annual source graduates from SAGDA. More than ever before, government departments are playing a key role in partnering with the organization to successfully empower graduates. There are 255 000 unemployed persons with diplomas/degree in South Africa - Stats SA, Labour Force Survey 2009
One in three FET College graduate battles to secure Internship/Inservice Training
Graduate registered in our database for work placement preparation - 7 000 graduates registered
Graduate Empowerment Sessions - average of 50 graduates attend per fortnight
Graduate Employability Assessment - one on one and is usually attended by 70 graduates per month
SAGDA places at least 3000 graduates annually, especially those that attends the empowerment sessions
Most Graduates placed were supported with interview tips, resume writing and effective job search methods

We constantly seek companies and institutions to work with us to absorb graduates through jobs, internships, projects and work integrated learning.
