(African
graduates predominantly) find it difficult to secure their first job.
Common challenges include the following:

- Lack of interview handling skills
- Poor verbal and non-verbal communication

This site is a
platform for
students and graduates to access vital information and tips to secure
their first job, internship and encourage them to seek alternatives to
formal employment.
Through our
membership
program, universities and colleges will begin/continue to offer
students support in preparing for the world of work. This will be
conducted through workshops, online solutions, seminars, company
visits, SAGDA outreach programs and Graduate Empowerment Monitor. The
later helps facilitate best practice in preparing students for the
world of work.
SAGDA urges
unemployed/underemployed graduates and students looking for
work
to register their CV's on the organisation's databases for
placement opportunities, assessments and seminars.
